About Oscar
I have been working with young people for many years in education, and I have a strong specialty and interest in students finding their own voice in their writing and expression.
I began teaching through starting up a small business during Melbourne lockdown, where I taught primary and high school students how to create their own podcast. The program eventually expanded to be taught at over a dozen different schools across three states.
I have a love for watching students understand concepts for the first time. You can see behind their eyes the process of learning taking place, especially when their excited about the content.
I am saving up for my wedding in February, so am offering my services on weekends until then, so enquire as soon as possible to ensure my availability.

My lessons cover all aspects of Humanities and Social Science curriculum, from Years 1-12. My sessions run for 1.30-2 hours, to ensure we get to grow our understanding on our subject area from merely outlining the content, to analysing it from our own perspectives.
My specialty teaching centres on working with students to help them analyse content given to them by their teachers, to eventually recreate their own understanding of the topic beyond the given content, which helps deepen their learning and improve their academic outcomes.
