Deadly! My daughter has been studying Math with Ollie for few months as she needs to prepare for 11+ exam, and we have completed 20 lessons so far. Initially, Ollie provided a free consultation to understand her current level in math. We then had our first free trial lesson (1 hour), and the experience was fantastic. Ollie's explanations were vivid and engaging, and she instantly liked his teaching style. He thoroughly explained many challenging concepts, making them much easier to understand.

We have been having weekly lessons since then, and Ollie tailors the sessions according to my daughter's needs, recommending appropriate supplementary materials for practice. We do related math tests after each class, and Ollie explains difficult questions in detail during the lessons. We have noticed a significant improvement in her math performance, and we are immensely grateful for Ollie's excellent teaching.

Deadly! Ollie is one of the best if not the best tutor our son has ever had. He impressed us from the first day and that has never changed. He was happy to talk to us for an hour to find out what we wanted from the lessons. He told us how he would teach our son but was willing to listen to our suggestions and adapt his teaching methods. I don't think I could ever find any other tutors who would accept to mark 30 pages of a maths book before every lesson. He doesn't even use the lesson time for marking!

It's not just his hard work and commitment that we love. He's a great maths teacher too. Within the first lesson, he already found our son's level in maths. It sounds easy but his school teachers didn't seem to know. That is not to say the school teachers are not good but it's hard to know his level is a few years ahead.

Our son really likes to learn with Ollie. He finds the lessons challenging and exciting. Ollie doesn't just simply give him a worksheet or paper but only chooses a few questions that are good for him from his large number of resources. When our son gets a question wrong, Ollie doesn't just solve it but asks questions until he can do it himself.

Last but not least, Ollie always updates his progress after each lesson. I really don't know how someone as busy as him can find the time to do all of that; he even talked to us when we wanted a video call! We are really lucky to have him as our son's tutor.

Deadly! Truly Amazing Maths Teacher
My search for a tutor came when my son seemed to be losing his confidence in maths. I was looking for someone who could inspire him to enjoy learning Maths again and also prepare him for 10+ Exams.

I came across Ollie’s profile and I am so glad that I did! Ollie is extremely, flexible, personable and by speaking to him you can hear has a true passion for teaching and maths.

Within a day Ollie took the time to learn about my son and his learning style. Following this he gave me an extremely detailed but simple plan and strategy on how we would reach our goals. Ollie suggested homework and discussed how much would be appropriate for our schedule.

On the first lesson I was delighted to hear that Ollie incorporated my son’s interests in to the lesson (coding/football). He was extremely encouraging and patient and made the lesson fun.

Ollie tutored our eldest in years five and six and the results were dramatic and not just in maths: her general logic and reasoning was impressive. She was a good student already but Ollie brought out the best in her and she got a very high score in her SATS. Now her sister is being tutored by Ollie for year five (continuing into year six) and having said she did not get maths, nowenthusiastically shouts out all the answers to Ollie online. Ollie himself is always cheerful, child-centred and knows how to get the best out of young children. They are both much more confident in their abilities, which is a pleasure to see.

Ollie has really helped me over the last month with my maths. I am a young adult looking to improve my core maths skills for business purposes and so was looking to dip into the relevant parts of the GCSE and A2 syllabus. His teaching experience means that he always explains things clearly and, whenever necessary, provides analogies or alternative scenarios which help with explanations. He is incredibly patient too, which is very helpful when tackling some of the more difficult topics which take students a little longer to understand.
