About Oscar
I am on my gap year having studied Geography, English and Mathematics at Winchester College up to Pre-U level (similar to A-level). I received A*s for Geography at both GCSE and Pre-U levels, and will study Geography at Manchester University in September 2021. I hope to spend some time passing on my love of the subject and endless tips and tricks to students going through what is still so fresh in my memory.

I like to base my tutoring on my own recent experiences of facing what can be quite a daunting challenge. For example, essay writing at Geography A-level is a huge step up from GCSE level writing, and a student may be overwhelmed by the volume of writing expected from them. Spending a little extra time focussing on and practicing planning and paragraph technique will make their writing flow, meaning less time fretting over essays and more time on the interesting stuff. I am all too familiar with the hard work it takes o complete the GCSE and A-level courses, and although I cannot advise taking actual shortcuts, life will feel much easier later on if others are still struggling with essay introductions a month before the exams.
