About Bahar
Hi, I'm Bahar, a final-year medical student in the UK with a passion for Biology and education. I loved studying Biology before going on to study Medicine, where I continue to apply biological science every day.
I understand that Biology can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when preparing for important exams. Having successfully navigated GCSEs, A-Levels, university admissions, and medical school exams myself, I understand the challenges students face and the techniques that can help them succeed.
I enjoy teaching because I find it rewarding to help students build confidence and achieve goals they may not have thought possible. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop a genuine understanding of and confidence in the subject. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I don't expect perfection - I simply want to help you realise your full potential.
Whether you are working towards passing your exams, aiming for top grades, or simply looking to improve your confidence in Biology, I will tailor lessons to your individual needs and provide clear explanations, effective revision strategies, and exam-focused support throughout your learning journey.

My teaching approach is tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of key biological concepts before applying this knowledge to exam-style questions and exam technique. I believe that active learning is the most effective way to improve performance, so lessons are engaging and interactive involving discussion, recall questions, worked examples and practice exam questions rather than simply reading through notes.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Lessons are delivered online and can cover new content, revision of difficult topics, exam preparation, or targeted support in areas where students are struggling.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Biology and an A* in A-Level Biology and am currently a final-year medical student in the UK. Throughout medical school I have developed a strong understanding of biological sciences and extensive experience explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible way. I want to make learning fun!
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Biology students of all abilities, whether they are aiming to pass, improve their grades, or achieve the highest marks. I am particularly well placed to help students preparing for exams by teaching effective revision strategies, exam technique and how to approach challenging questions with confidence.
