About Alfie
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with over a year of tutoring experience. I have helped students improve their knowledge and understanding across a range of subjects and topics, while also developing their confidence when approaching exams.
Having recently completed my GCSEs, I understand the challenges students can face, from learning and memorising content to managing exam timings and applying knowledge to exam questions. Combining my own experience of taking GCSE exams with my experience as a tutor allows me to explain complex ideas clearly and provide practical support tailored to each student's needs.
I am particularly interested in Maths, Science, and Engineering and enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts rather than simply memorising information.
Outside of tutoring and studying, I enjoy playing rugby and football. I also have a strong interest in engineering, particularly designing and building projects and understanding how things work.

My approach to tutoring-
I have over a year's worth of experience in tutoring and specialise in supporting students who are studying GCSE-level subjects. I have recently completed my GCSEs, achieving strong results. My relevant results include:

Chemistry - 8
Maths - 8
Engineering - 9
Sports Studies - 8
I can adapt each lesson to a student's needs by identifying weaknesses in knowledge or understanding, then explaining topics clearly before working through exam-style questions and examples.
Along with this, I can help students with revision planning, homework, and exam technique.
I tutor GCSE Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Engineering, and Sports Studies, with particular familiarity with the AQA specifications.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long; however, lesson lengths can be adapted.
