I am a retired teacher with around 40 years of teaching experience. Most recently, I have taught Basic Math and Prealgebra at a local junior college. My special education experience supports giving different strategies. My highest degree is an Education Specialist--between a masters and a doctorate.

I first believe that students don't care what you know until they know that you care. I to take variety of approaches when I teach. I have my "go--to" strategies, but if a student does"t "get it" I try to present it in different ways.
