About Benjamin
I am a Geography graduate from a UK top 10 university (Lancaster University). I have 3 A*s at A-Level (Geography, Economics, Politics). I achieved 6 A*s, 3 As and 3 Bs at GCSEs. Have spent the last two years as a trainee teaching in one-to-one settings, small group studies, seminars and larger audiences.

I like my sessions to be student-led, shaped by the specific needs of the student. We would also work our way through the syllabus (if GCSE or A-Level students) ensuring clear understanding of each concept, and also how to answer exam questions on the topic.
A typical lesson would cover:
- The aims according to the syllabus
- Cover definitions required
- Discuss concepts, often using whiteboards. Teaching by asking questions: I find this the most effective approach to ensure understanding.
- Encourage questions
- Encourage students to develop knowledge further with additional, more stretching questions.
- Return to aims.
- Exams guidance and working through mock answers.
