About Lamine

I am a dedicated Mathematics and Statistics student at Queen Mary University of London, with a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and an A in A-Level Mathematics.

I take a patient, structured and approachable approach to tutoring, adapting lessons to each student's ability and goals. Whether a student is struggling with the fundamentals, looking to improve their GCSE grade, or aiming to build greater confidence in Maths, I focus on making difficult concepts clear and helping students become more independent problem-solvers.

I am reliable, well-organised and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to ensure every lesson has a clear purpose and that students leave with a stronger understanding of the material than when they started.

I teach GCSE Maths, KS3 Maths and Maths at primary-school level, with lessons delivered online.

About the lesson

I focus on making Maths clear, structured and understandable rather than simply showing students how to get the answer. I first identify gaps in their understanding, then break difficult topics into smaller steps before gradually increasing the difficulty.

Lessons are interactive: I explain a concept, work through examples with the student, and then have them attempt questions independently. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning so I can identify exactly where they are struggling. For GCSE students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, showing working clearly, avoiding common mistakes and applying knowledge to unfamiliar questions.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged when appropriate.

I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and an A in A-Level Mathematics, and I am currently studying BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Statistics at Queen Mary University of London. My strong mathematical background allows me to confidently teach the GCSE curriculum and below.

I offer lessons primarily for GCSE Maths students (ages 14–16), as well as KS3 and younger students who want to strengthen their mathematical foundations, improve their confidence or prepare for exams.

My goal is not simply to help students complete their homework - it is to help them understand why the mathematics works so that they can approach new questions independently.
