About Anna

Hey guys! I’m Anna :)

So, just a little bit about me, I was born in South Korea and moved to Australia starting grade 4. Although I was a beginner at English, I was always confident with my mathematical ability! However, I personally too, did have some troubles with maths when it came to understanding the content fully and answering questions, AND ESPECIALLY, not making silly mistakes. But, through all the trial and error, I have found my own tips and tricks with note-taking, efficient studying, and problem solving skills, and will be more than happy to guide you through some of those during the lessons. So… Whether you hate or love maths, I promise to make our sessions fun!! Tell me if it gets boring, I’ll try spice up the sessions with a few games that involve maths, then get back on track :)

Even with English, I myself have started from a zero-base, with no English knowledge whatsoever. So, I really know how to help with developing essay techniques quickly, and will efficiently pick out key areas for you to focus on! I can help with assignments, english homework, exam essay preparation, or even just vocabulary extension :) Whatever you ask for, I can help with!

About the lesson

The structure of the tutoring sessions, depending on the students’ needs, can vary as such:

1. The student can ask questions about their schoolwork/homework that they are having troubles with, and I will try my best to assist.

2. If the student is capable of their age-level schoolwork, I can help them excel further by going ahead of the school curriculum.

3. If there are any other specific requirements, I can adjust to the students’ needs and provide them with my own resources as well.

The typical length of a lesson will likely be 30 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on the students’ preference!

I am a straight A+ student in mathematics, and have attended school acceleration in maths across all years. I am undertaking specialist maths and mathematical methods currently. I also am taking General English currently, and have been successful in my studies so far.

Although I am still in school, I am confident that I can teach younger students mathematical concepts well, in an easy and engaging manner, as it is still fresh in my head. I have completed the QCE Unit 1&2 course for specialist mathematics, mathematical methods and English General.
