About Kirstyn
I have been pursuing a PhD in wildlife biology or ecology since I was in middle school. Starting in high school, I joined a program that allowed me to attend both high school and college as a junior and senior. I took a college-level zoology course as a 17-year-old and set the curve on all tests and lab practicals, allowing other students to follow in my footsteps as the college was skeptical high schoolers could handle the academic rigor of scientific courses. I graduated a semester early from Benedictine College with my Bachelor's of Science degree as a Magna Cum Laude (3.8 GPA) while leading revolutionary research projects and participating in college athletics. I excel at general biological concepts, research design, academic writing, and ecological concepts. I also personally helped explain complex topics to others throughout my time in undergraduate school. Beyond general topics, I excel at presentation design, public speaking, time management, and developing leadership qualities. I have accumulated over 15 publications and presentations over the last 3.5 years and hope to help others do the same!

My teaching method is completely dependent on each student's level of knowledge and course difficulties. As a recent graduate from Benedictine College, I have done 4 years of research, coursework, presented at national conferences, and worked towards publishing research papers. I am able to provide instruction on general biological topics, zoology (up to the undergraduate level), and ecology for middle schoolers to seniors in undergraduate school.
