About Gracey
I have a bachelor's degree in biology, with experience in science/creative writing from Cornell University. With practical math and science experience in biology research positions, published essays in the Integrative and Comparative Biology Blog, and years of tutoring experience, I am eager to share my breadth of knowledge and love of learning with others. I love finding common interests with students to incorporate into lessons and learning from their perspectives.
I have tutored middle school math for three years, primarily algebra and geometry. I have also peer-tutored evolutionary biology and applied ecology to high school and college students, as well as developed and taught conservation biology lessons to elementary and middle schoolers through the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology. I am eager to share my understanding and passion for science.
I also have experience advising and proofreading college common app essays from the brainstorming stage to submitting the final product. Similarly, I enjoy advising and proofreading academic and creative essays from middle school to high school levels. Feel free to reach out at any time!
