About Jacopo
As an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, I was a double major in biology and psychology, while also an Italian tutor on the side. I enjoyed mostly learning about the wonders of the cell, the unit of life, and I have since loved sharing my awe for biology with others. Since graduation, I have been pursuing a research career in the field of synthetic biology, which gifted me with in-depth expertise in molecular and cell biology.

"Fear is the mind-killer", Dune. My number one teaching approach is to make you fall in love with the subject, and not treat it with fear. Often with complex subjects like biology, we may be scared and overwhelmed with the great amount of information we are presented with. My goal is to inspire awe for the subject, for a deeper understanding.
In a typical lesson, we will focus on a specific topic while also paying attention to the big picture and how it can be integrated into the whole.
These lessons are meant for different levels, ranging from amateur lovers of learning to college students.
