About Leslie
My passion for educating has been a present part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have tutored professionally for about 8 years now, ranging from students in the 2nd grade to college students. However, my experience goes beyond that as I have worked this passion for more than 12 years through my service class assistant or peer tutoring during my time in primary school. I have overseen students in subjects like biology, algebra, geometry, and neuroscience. With my years of experience across multiple learning environments, I have fine-tuned the craft of tutoring and advising through hands-on involvement and the courses I have taken to better understand how students learn and how educators should present information.

My attraction to individualized lesson plans and meeting the students where they are before strengthening their weaknesses has proven very effective. My main approach is to teach topics in various ways and with the assistance of fun quirks such as alliterations or personal anecdotes to allow students to feel engaged and improve their ability to remember the lessons. I bring to the learning environment a cheerful and infectious personality that allows the students to feel encouraged to learn. My lessons are catered toward elementary and middle school students however I do offer math assistance for high school students as well.
