One of the major beliefs I hold as an educator is to move towards more student-centered approaches in learning. I tend to stray away from common lecture-based lessons and love working hands-on with students as we discover the content together.
A typical lesson would always begin with a refresher or a general knowledge check to quickly gauge where a student is. Followed up by a personalized lesson with scaffolds put into place to ensure understanding and success.
As a tutor, I will put in extra time to accommodate my students outside of tutoring hours to design complex and engaging lessons.
My lessons could be for anyone who wants reinforcement in social studies in grade 5-12.
