About Jack
I am a dedicated and professional acting tutor who creates a supportive, focused environment where students feel comfortable to explore and grow. I believe in building confidence alongside technique, and I approach each lesson with patience, clarity, and genuine encouragement.
I am reliable, well-prepared, and committed to helping each student reach their full potential. I offer honest and constructive feedback in a way that motivates rather than discourages, adapting my teaching to suit each student’s individual goals.
I enjoy teaching because I find it genuinely rewarding to see students gain confidence, unlock their creativity, and achieve things they didn’t think they were capable of. Helping someone connect more deeply with their work and watching that progress over time is what makes teaching so fulfilling for me.

My approach to tutoring is rooted in creating a safe, focused, and creatively stimulating environment where actors can take risks, build confidence, and develop truthful performances. I primarily draw on the Meisner technique, which I have studied through multiple courses at the London Meisner Company. My sessions focus on helping students respond instinctively and truthfully in the moment, rather than overthinking or “performing.” Lessons are typically one hour long and centre on a monologue of your choice, which we explore in depth by looking at emotional truth, subtext, objectives, and the nuances within the text. I am a graduate of London South Bank Conservatoire, an experienced acting teacher, and a performer with credits including Au Brana Theatre Company, a production with Frantic Assembly, and the role of Mr Coombes in an adaptation of The Welkin. My lessons are suitable for beginners, drama school applicants, and more experienced performers, including teenagers and adults, with each session tailored to the student’s level, goals, and confidence.
