About Sheel
After I obtained my highschool diploma from Newark High School in Newark, DE, I was admitted to a direct 6 year PharmD program at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare studies from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. I am a 6th year student in a 6 year program, pursuing a PharmD degree, currently on a verge to become a certified licensed pharmacist. I am on my last year of the PharmD program, completing my pharmaceutical rotations for obtaining my PharmD degree.

I specifically enjoy helping students who are struggling with passing their classes with F’s and D’s. I have been tutoring students from middle school to college level for over 5+ years.
The way I helped the students learn is through first determining what the students’ weak points are in those specific subjects and then helping them form study techniques specifically catered to that specific student.
Because I believe each student is different, I take time to understand how the student learns best by giving them different technique options to master the subject. First, we will determine the student’s weaknesses in the subject he/she is struggling with. Second, we will determine what study techniques work best for them to help them build that level of confidence in their homework, quizzes, and tests/exams. To help them solidify the material in a way they can fully grasp the material and excel in their classes, I implement repetition of the material using index cards, drawing diagrams, mnemonics, and most importantly, conceptual understanding through videos and other various study techniques. Furthermore, emphasize on the level of conceptual understanding to help them “see why it works the way it does.”
And lastly, I specifically create practice questions with the subject they are struggling on, and assess their studying habits unique to each student, to help them build confidence to ace their classes. That “ahh ha! “ light bulb moment my students have during the tutoring sessions is my greatest achievement as a tutor.
I have helped over 200+ students become the top of their class by helping them realize what study habits will help them. I really enjoy and love seeing them feel confident and learn the material in a way that makes sense to them, especially helping them learn the material to stick to them for the long term conceptually.
