About Summer
Hi! My name is Summer, and I’m a certified teacher with a degree in Middle Childhood Education from The Ohio State University, specializing in Math and English/Language Arts (Grades 4–9).
I have experience working with a wide range of students and learning styles, and I’m passionate about helping kids not only understand their work, but feel confident in themselves. I believe every child is capable—they just need the right support and approach.
As both a teacher and a mom, I understand how important it is to find someone patient, reliable, and encouraging. I pride myself on creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to succeed.

I create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. As a certified Math and English/Language teacher, I understand that every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet your child’s individual needs and learning style.
My goal is not just to help students complete their work, but to truly understand the material and feel confident doing it on their own. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, I provide clear explanations, patience, and encouragement every step of the way.
I especially focus on building strong foundations in reading and math, while also helping with homework, test prep, and overall study skills. I strive to make learning feel less stressful and more successful for both students and parents.
