About Caitlin

Here are some details about why I might be a good fit to help you achieve your goals:

UCLA's Theater Program: a degree in Theater Directing from UCLA signifies a rigorous education in theater fundamentals, including acting techniques, character development, script analysis, and movement. This knowledge base provides a strong foundation for coaching actors.

Performance Experience: Having performed in many plays myself, I understand the challenges actors face on stage, the emotional vulnerability required, and the technical aspects of delivering a performance. I can empathize with my students and offer practical guidance.

Coaching Skills from Directing:
Directing is about guiding actors: A director's job is to help actors understand their characters, interpret the script, and deliver a cohesive performance. These skills translate directly to acting coaching, where they can break down scenes, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback. Directors see the entire production, understanding how individual performances contribute to the whole. This translates to coaching, where they can help actors connect their character's arc to the overall story. I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

I'm ready to help you fine tune your best monologues: classical or contemporary.

We will workshop your monologues using online tools and hands on coaching, focusing on:

1. Screen presence and confidence.

Are you prepping a video audition? Will you be live? We will find your angles, your confidence, your performance, all in an entirely safe space.

2. Finding your delivery.

I've trained in many styles - Meisner, Stanislavsky, Clowning & I will draw from my experience as a director and actor to help you achieve your performance goals.

3. Text assistance.

We will dive deep into your text from both a phenomenological and literary perspective, and work towards the deepest understanding for your personal performance work
