About Michelle

I am a working actor from all over the world. I was born in Canada, raised in China, did my undergrad studies in London, and graduated from Acting grad school at USC. I was trained by the best of the best acting coaches in the world, which equips me with the ability to transfer everything that I know about acting to you. I believe in diversity and community more than anything, which is why I teach acting because it's not only performance but a change in how you embrace yourself as a human and your lifestyle. With me we will explore and discover new things every class and reach new heights that wasn't considered possible.

About the lesson

I believe that acting should come from a real place deep within yourself. Instead of following stereotypes of acting like what they teach at Yale and Juilliard, I will teach you to bring your own identity into every role, your cultural background will be what makes you stand out instead of being undesirable or something to "fix" and "suppress". We will work on voice, movement, breath, and scene analysis; from there, you will not only become the best actor you can be, but also break through the things that are pulling you back and grow as a person. We will be focusing on training acting in theater, movement, breath, voice, dialect, as well as acting on camera; getting you ready for all types of roles no matter the form.
