About David

Pianist David Kancsar is equally at home in Broadway orchestra pits, intimate cabaret settings, and the classical concert stage. He has concertized nationwide, as well as served as pianist and/or music director of Forever Plaid, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot, and the Producers, among others. He has served as a member of the music faculty at The Meadows School, a nationally ranked college preparatory school in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is currently a member of the music staff at Community Lutheran Church, and a member of the piano faculty at the Nevada School of the Arts.

About the lesson

If you need tutoring for your AP Music Theory class, I'd love to be the one to help. I can make difficult concepts easy to understand, all the while working to assure success on the AP exam. I will use examples from classical literature, but also from Rock, Pop, and everything in between to show you the building blocks composers use to make music.

If you're a pianist looking for coaching on difficult literature, I can help work out those tricky technical passages, decipher the composer's intentions, and make you a better musician.
