First, let me start off by giving a little background on the state of my experience driving prior to starting my lessons with Wayne. I had my permit for years. Eventually, a couple of years back, I went the traditional route and headed over to a local driving school and paid for a lessons package. I learned some of the basics there, but overall I had a bad experience with a particular instructor that left me with a bad impression of taking formal lessons. After that, I got a couple of lessons with friends here and there, but overall I procrastinated, and instead of my driving improving, I just learned a lot of bad driving habits. About two months ago, I stumbled on Superprof looking for an alternative to a traditional driving school and came across Wayne and decided to give it a shot. Off the bat, Wayne was punctual, accommodating, and super responsive. The actual lessons were night and day compared to what I had previously experienced. Wayne was extremely patient, especially with my plethora of questions, and very knowledgeable when it came down to giving me methods on not only passing my driver's test but becoming a safer, more efficient driver overall. Fast forward a couple of weeks, I took my test and passed on my first attempt. Wayne did that. I can’t recommend him enough whether you're brand spanking new to driving, have some experience, or even somebody who has their license but just wants to build confidence by becoming an overall better driver. Wayne is absolutely a 5-star driving tutor. This was my first time using Superprof, and I felt it was a much less intimidating way to learn how to drive.

From my very first lesson, I appreciated how patient, communicative, and soft-spoken he was. His calm approach really helped ease my anxiety about learning to drive. As the lessons progressed, I also appreciated that Wayne kept notes on areas I could improve to help build my confidence as a driver. It made me feel like there was always a clear plan and specific goals to focus on during each lesson.

Wayne doesn’t just teach you how to pass a driving test — he teaches you how to drive with confidence. He helps you tune into your instincts while driving, reflect on your decisions, and better understand how to respond in different situations on the road. Before giving feedback, he often asks me how I think I did first, which helped me become more aware of my own progress and mindset.

He also used a scoring sheet similar to the one used during actual driving tests, which made the lessons feel even more practical and helpful. At the same time, he always highlighted the things I was doing well, which continuously boosted my confidence. Each lesson felt challenging in the best way!

I would 1000% recommend Wayne as a tutor for anyone who is a first-time driver or wants to learn how to drive with confidence and safety!

Wayne was very patient, punctual, and understanding. He had a calm presence that’s essential for a driving instructor. He was also funny and a cool guy, so the driving lessons were not only informative but also really enjoyable. He made me a confident driver — not cocky (that’s an inside joke) — but confident.
