About Irene
I graduated in Biomedical Engineering at Carlos III University of Madrid last July 2020. I also have a professional degree in piano from the Manuel Rodríguez Sales Conservatory. I have four years of experience teaching science, English and music (piano) to students between the ages of 8 and 16. My level of English is C1, certified by the official IELTS exam.

My teaching method is based on adapting to the needs of the student according to their level and their aspirations and concerns. I like to establish medium-term objectives (e.g. end of the month, semester) where the student can feel comfortable, but that allow us to modulate the content of each class according to the difficulty that each topic presents. If the student does not have the appropriate study materials, I provide them (especially applicable to English and music classes). In terms of science, I usually follow the program established by their school or institute, serving as educational support and reinforcement. In the English classes I propose typical exercises from official language tests (First, Advance, TOEFL, IELTS) and activities that reflect real life and make them think "out of the box" (TED videos, popsci articles). In the case of music, I follow the program of the Russian Piano School. I feel comfortable teaching both in English and Spanish.
