About Robert
I have attained my Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology with a cumulative GPA of 3.97 (Graduated with high distinction). As an undergraduate, I have tutored elementary school students (1:1 style) in Math and English for 1.5 years. We meet once every week to discuss the materials the student has learned in class and address any confusion that he/she may have. While working in my immunology research lab during the summer, I also served as a mentor along with other post-docs and taught high school students basic lab techniques.

I am a big advocate of making each lesson both fun and informative. I try to engage my students as much as possible to maximize the effect of active learning. I am very patient and will tailor my lesson plan to fit your own learning style and goals.
Through my own teaching experiences, I have acquired the ability to explain complicated concepts using simplified language and metaphors. Through my experience as a student, I have also developed a set of methodologies that enabled my success at one of the most academically rigorous universities. I intend to bestow all of these skills to my students; this will augment their learning both within the tutoring session and beyond as they step into higher levels of education and encounter greater challenges.
