About Rio
Hi I’m Rio, I personally have always struggled in education and have dyslexia. During my GCSEs textiles and DT were my subjects that allowed me to learn practical skills and feel that I was just as good if not better than my peers. If you like to use your hands to create I’d love to help and put my knowledge to good use. I strongly believe in community and want to one day do workshops but feel this is my first place to start!

I am happy to teach most textiles related skills. Theory is my weakest point but I still achieved a grade C at GCSE. If there are any projects you have wanted to do or any skills you want to learn I’m happy to help. From darning a sock to boutique art if it uses fabric or needle and thread we can do it! I personally have a passion for embroidery and use this skill the most in my art and upcycling.
