About Alex
I am 22 years old. As a pre-med student and aspiring medical doctor, I have an excellent background in the sciences and maths. I have taken the most challenging classes and passed proficiently. So, I know my stuff! I took the SATs, SHSATs, and all the regents. Those things are complicated and tedious; not everyone "gets it." Trust me, I didn't! But what is important is not "getting it" but putting in the work to overcome it! And I think that I can help you achieve that! :)

I would say I am an "old-fashioned" tutor. I keep my eyesight on the goal and encourage my students to do the same. Two key components are a solid understanding of the subject and the type of student I am tutoring. I have expertise in many areas ranging from middle-school-level algebra to college-level math and science courses. Speaking with the student and tackling their struggles is crucial, but the most important thing is always to start from the beginning. Understand what came first to be able to understand where the problems lie.
