About Maggie
As an aspiring professor and tutor for two years, teaching has not only become a skill of mine, but a true passion. I believe that the purpose of 1-on-1 tutoring is to give students a unique experience to explore and refine their knowledge and learning techniques. I hope to serve as a guide to students, not only in helping them to understand content, but in giving them the academic tools they need to succeed. Continuing on my own educational journey, I aim to share my knowledge and passion that have allowed me to pursue my dreams.

Each lesson is customized for the student's learning style, current understanding of subject matter, and studying applications for the specific course. A typical first lesson will consist of a primary evaluation of the student's current level of understanding and study methods. I will provide customized teaching and study methods based on the student's particular needs. In future lessons, a deeper understanding and improved study and test-taking methods will be incorporated. My main goal as a tutor is to equip students with the tools they need to learn and study proficiently on their own.
I offer lessons for both high school and college courses, including upper-division and some graduate courses. I have been tutoring both biology and chemistry courses for the past two years as a university tutor.
