About Chaitan
I am 29 years old and since graduating with my Math degree I came to the stunning realization I did not want to pursue a career in math! I tried tutoring other subjects, working with the US Marines, I was a firefighter for a while... then I finally settled on using my intelligence and 'ability to learn' to become a doctor!
After a lot more school and a whole bunch of studying, I got accepted into medical school and I start this year!
Now I have a large base of knowledge that includes a whole lotta math and a healthy amount of the sciences, chemistry and biology. I can tutor these subjects well, as I often become a resource for my classmate, even when I was learning myself. I also feel confidently that I can help you with any question you might have, even if I don't know the answer right away!

I like to help students learn by getting them to ask questions about the material and make conclusions on their own.
I have tips and tricks to help break down complex ideas, but I also like to do facilitated exploration. Maybe a question is just too good for me to answer properly, now we have a chance to do some research online and use our resources to come to some solid conclusions.
Repetition is key to learning, and to this end I generally would defer to the assigned classwork or I can assign some exercises or readings for between sessions. No two students are the same, and so everyone's experience will be unique to their needs.
