About Terhile

I just completed my undergraduate program in BSC. Sociology at Benue State University in Nigeria, where I had opportunity to lead study groups and deliver class lecture presentations. I'm awaiting my statement of result. I have taught in a grade school (primary school) for a year plus, because I was teaching and going to the University at the same time. I also offer home lessons for kids in primary and secondary schools too.

I'm the kind of guy that likes to be practical. Not always a fan of the big words unless it's necessary to use them. Then I explain things from a broad sense before narrowing down to the specifics. Knowledge has to be relative if not, it makes no sense to the persons I am teaching. I also make use of teacher to student interactives so I carry everyone along. I also love creating easy retentive strategies to help my students remember what they have been taught. E.G , use of abbreviations and acronyms to explain certain elements in a subject matter. Songs, and even Jokes, though, I only sing if necessary. Just easy ways to learning and grow. So, I may draft out a course outline or follow the one given to me, then I create lesson plans on each topic. We will have class exercises after lectures and even assignments. My aim isn't to make you feel learning is hard, but help you make required efforts and learn easily such that you can relate, apply and even teach it whenever you have the opportunity.
