About Emmett
I initially studied medicine and qualified in 2013 in Ireland, so I am no stranger to hard work & dedication! My motto is practice (and repetition) makes perfect!
Since qualifying in medicine, my love and passion for music had more time to breathe, so I began gigging and performing, eventually entering The Voice of Ireland and reaching semi-final stages.
After that, I decided to further pursue singing by moving to London and enrolling in a second degree in music, with a focus on vocal studies and performance.
My most recent favourite performance was getting to perform one of my original songs at the main stage in Trafalgar Square for Pride in London celebrations!

My modus operandi is to make my prospective students feel as comfortable and as free as possible from the get-go. I want to create a space that first and foremost is without judgment or expectation. Singing is often described as a juggling act of minimising muscle tension, optimal breath control, and of course mental and psychological focus, so it is imperative to have a safe and supportive environment to achieve this.
Having studied medicine and having now worked as a doctor for several years, I have an extensive knowledge of the detailed anatomy behind how we sing, which I believe is a unique skill in my approach to teaching vocals.
Combining my knowledge of anatomy and physiology with my current vocal studies also further enables me to provide an in-depth, focused analysis of my student's current singing pattern, and offer ways in which to improve on tone, diction, stamina, and breath control.
I hope to help any aspiring contemporary singers reach their goals no matter what level of practice or experience, and share my love for music and singing!
