About Eve
I'm a certified K-6 teacher and proud graduate of Grand Valley State University with hands-on classroom experience in both general and special education settings. I’ve worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and learning levels, including those with IEPs, English language learners, and advanced learners needing enrichment. My student teaching and tutoring experience have taught me how to build strong relationships, differentiate instruction, and help students feel confident in their abilities. I bring professionalism, patience, and a deep passion for education to every session.

As a tutor, I focus on meeting each student where they’re at. I use a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and hands-on activities to keep learning engaging and meaningful. I believe in building confidence first—when students feel safe and supported, real growth happens.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in and review, then we dive into a targeted skill using examples and practice problems. I always leave time for reflection and a quick strategy the student can use on their own. I also adapt my approach based on how a student learns best—visuals, movement, manipulatives, or conversation.
What sets me apart is my real-world classroom experience and my ability to connect with kids of all ages. I’ve taught students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds, including those with IEPs and learning differences. I’m patient, consistent, and I genuinely love seeing kids succeed.
I tutor all grade levels and specialize in elementary and middle school subjects, especially math, reading, and writing. Whether your child is struggling, needs a challenge, or just extra support. I’m here to help them grow!
