About Harvey
I’m Harvey, a third-year Environmental Science BSc student at the University of Leeds, originally from North London. I’ve been tutoring for several years, beginning in school where I supported GCSE and A-Level students in maths and science. That experience taught me how to break down tricky ideas clearly, build confidence, and help students turn understanding into strong results.
I specialise in GCSE and A level Maths, GCSE Science with experience across major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. My lessons are structured and personalised: first we break down the topic you’re struggling with, then we work through targeted practice questions to strengthen your method and fix any mistakes. I focus on clarity, patience, and exam-ready thinking — helping you improve not just your grades, but the way you approach problems.
I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenges. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or trying to rebuild confidence, I tailor each session to your goals and learning style.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing the violin, running, and speedcubing — hobbies that keep me focused, disciplined, and always learning.

We did our A-level maths together. A super friendly and really smart guy. He was so good at helping me with any tricky concepts while we were learning together, and he really helped me a couple of months before our exams with some tutoring on the side in between his own revision.
