About Jimmy
Analytical, organized and detail-oriented qualified actuary with expertise and experience in the full spectrum of financial mathematics. Have done my bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Financial Engineering. I am passionate in actuarial science, finance and mathematics and have a track record of delivering high quality teaching since I was an undergraduate student. I have previously taught pupils in Hong Kong and as now I have relocated to the United Kingdom last year I am covering UK’s curriculum as well. I speak English and Cantonese.

Teaching Approach:
Case Study 1): A student (Hong Kong Form 1, i.e., UK Year 8 equivalent) who was not interested in Mathematics and Science through normal curriculum. After taking my lesson once a week, he subsequently discovered his interest in Mathematics and Science and had the exam score improved as well.
Case Study 2): A university student taking Finance course needs my help before exam period. I gave 4 intensive lessons to her to solidify the concepts.
Case Study 3): Actuarial coaching: I taught a risk management analyst to help him understand basic actuarial concepts as he has not studied any actuarial science subjects before.
On all tutorial cases I spent a short introductory session with them to identify the client’s need and suitability before having actual lessons.
