I have risen to the top of a national leader in international education now I am applying all of this experience to learners in London.
I perfected my strong communication skills whilst teaching English to varied ability classes of Chinese first language speakers aged 2-16 with the occasional seminar of adult learners. As well as English language I also incorporated all subject disciplines into my lesson planning, as I was the sole teacher for my given class, so geography, art, maths, and the physical sciences.
We set achievable but challenging goals and work together through a well-structured curriculum. I taught in a very interactive style so I was able to reach goals while being inclusive to all children’s learning styles: whether audio, visual or kinaesthetic. The high energy required for this role just added to the amount of fun.
I started teaching cram school classes big and small after tutoring privately back in 2012 and switched cities in 2014 for a greater challenge.
I subsequently won Teacher of the Year Award for 2015 in my district after only my first year working at a major International cram school. I was transferred to the company's largest and most ambitious school a year later where I was promoted to Head the English language department.
Since then I taught over 250 children roughly 50 adults.

The position was immensely rewarding due to the need for me to broaden my skillsets. On a further note, I was once selected for by the company and followed around for a whole month by an independent production crew who video documented my daily work life for purposes of company marketing campaigns.
Outside of this project I was picked on numerous occasions to host galas direct campaigns. I will always be grateful for my peers and superiors who awarding me with the Employee of the Year Award for 2015, after only a year working there.
PLANNING & ORGANISING
I was in part responsible for scheduling and I consistently developed dynamic media presentations and delivered content often on stage for major functions where there would be an audience of approximately one hundred, ranging from the very young to senior citizens.
IMAGINATION & CREATIVE THINKING
I curated art and music weekly and I even wrote and acted in sketch comedy skits for open house events and during Chinese festivals. I wrote and directed 8 original content plays in 3 years and it was one of the most enjoying aspects. I also had full creative control when picking costumes and I choreographed all dances, encouraging imagination and creative thinking in them by doing so myself.
I did all this in the unfamiliar setting of a new country and alien culture on the opposite side of the world. Considering how local sensibilities in East Asia are not always equivalent to what we have in the West regarding diversity and tolerance, nonetheless I still woke up everyday striving to treat everyone with a smile on my face and make them smile in turn. I embraced a de-facto ambassadorial role in public, in professional settings and also in private. The benefits of giving people a service is all ask for, opening up minds and letting their curiosity bloom.
My hard work was rewarded and I was promoted to Manager of the English division in our private international school within a year of joining and I wasted little time in helping grow the business from 3 classes when I started to a full compliment of 9 classes by the time I left, and we achieved this well ahead of schedule. I built a highly functioning team managing 10 teachers and oversaw the well being of nearly 200 pupils.
As a manager I demonstrated my desire to improve our content and with HESS being the largest company in our industry nationwide I was very interested in developing efficiencies so I took part in the high level meetings even on weekends with curriculum writers and honing my editorial judgment capabilities.
