About Jack
I am a passionate and dedicated Geography teacher with over 10 years of experience, committed to helping students achieve their full potential. As a Head of Department and senior examiner, I bring a strong understanding of both subject knowledge and exam technique, allowing students to make clear and measurable progress. I take pride in building positive, supportive relationships that help students grow in confidence as well as attainment. Outside the classroom, I have a genuine enthusiasm for Geography, particularly as a keen fossil hunter and runner, which reflects my interest in the natural world and physical landscapes. I bring this enthusiasm into my teaching, making lessons engaging, relevant and inspiring. Students can expect a professional, reliable and approachable tutor who is fully invested in their success.

I take a passionate, student-centred and highly tailored approach to tutoring, recognising that every learner has different strengths, challenges and goals. My lessons focus on building secure subject knowledge alongside developing strong exam technique, with clear guidance on how to structure answers and access higher mark bands using up-to-date examiner insight. Sessions are interactive, supportive and designed to build confidence, with regular use of practice questions and targeted feedback to maximise progress. Lessons typically last between 1 hour and 1.5 hours, allowing time for both in-depth explanation and exam practice. I have over 10 years of experience teaching Geography at GCSE and A Level, across UK and international exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR and IGCSE. I am currently a Head of Department with a proven track record of strong results and an average value-added of over one grade, and I also work as a senior examiner, marking each year. My lessons are suitable for students aged 14–18 studying GCSE, IGCSE or A Level, including those needing additional support, SEN learners, and high-attaining students aiming for top grades.
