About Benjamin
My name is Benjamin Dupres. I am a fully qualified Geography teacher & Head of Department teaching in west London. I hold a BA in Politics and an MA in Politics of Development, both from Royal Holloway, University of London. I also hold a PGCE and QTS with UCL.
I have previously worked in the Geopolitical field, and am an expert in teaching the following topics: - Health, Human Rights & Intervention - Globalisation - Development - Changing Cities - Resources.
I have a proven track record of delivering effective geography teaching that gets deliverable results. I am experienced in teaching at all key stages of secondary level education, from KS3 up to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level. I am also able to teach international exam boards, including IB.
My lessons are topical, utilising only latest data points, and engaging. You will leave my lessons not only making academic progress, but having fun whilst doing so!

My name is Benjamin Dupres, and I am the Head of Geography at a large secondary school in London.
As an experienced teacher, I understand that each student's needs are individualised. Therefore, prior to undertaking the tutoring sessions, I will undertake a brief introductory phone call/message exchange to better understand your child’s specific needs. Thereafter, the tutoring sessions will be individually planned based on this initial conversation. Once the initial introductory conversation has taken place, I will then start the tutoring journey. This journey is anchored by an online PowerPoint lesson which is hosted via Zoom and/or Skype.
My lessons are a minimum of one hour, and I would naturally recommend at least 2 lessons a week. I employ varied pedagogy styles that are adapted based on individual student requirements. This includes a wide range of assessment for learning strategies that enhance the learning experiences of all students. In addition to the weekly PowerPoint lessons, I also set (and mark) homework that follows the structure of the lessons that had been previously taught. I will then provide feedback to the student in our next session.

Deadly! If you are looking for a tutor for your young person for geography, then you are very lucky if you have found Ben. He has been an absolute tower of strength for my son as we’ve approached A levels. Ben is encouraging, patient, and genuinely motivated to help his students.
