About Alison
I am a Phd students of Pure Mathematics (specifically, Algebra, Geometry, Combinatorics and Graph theory) at Lancaster University.
I obtained my Bachelor's and Master degrees from the University of Manchester, though in third year I mainly focused on Pure Maths.
I started doing some teaching from High School (I was teaching English as a second language to Italian students), and started teaching Maths from my second year of University at the University of Manchester.

I am a Maths PhD student offering lessons to students of all levels.
I adapt my lessons to the needs of the student. If, for instance, there is an area of Mathematics that the student needs some improvement on, we can concentrate on the area; If you need to prepare for an exam, I will explain how exercises work and make sure you understand the process by giving you some more exercises to do with me.
I have taught from GCSE level up to (and including) undergraduate level. Up to second year University level, I have confidence teaching both pure mathematics (such as Algebra, Geometry and Analysis) and applied mathematics (such as Probability, Statistics and Mechanics). From second year onwards, I specialise in Pure Mathematics.
