About Yali

Hello, my name is Yali Epstein, and I am a junior at Cypress Bay High School with a strong understanding of Algebra 1 and Geometry. My passion for teaching is rooted in patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help students succeed. When I set a goal, I am committed to achieving it in the best way possible. I value open communication and encourage questions and concerns about any topic—we’re in this learning journey together. Professionalism and time management are priorities for me, so I expect students to come to lessons prepared and on time, just as I will. My ultimate goal is to ensure every student understands the material, gains confidence, and feels proud of their progress. I strive to create a positive and supportive relationship with my students and their families, making sure they feel fulfilled with each lesson. Whether the improvement is big or small, every step forward is a success, and I am here to guide and celebrate each milestone with you.

About the lesson

I have a passion for working with children and have been taking an Early Childhood class for the past two years. During this time, I’ve learned how to teach children effectively while focusing on Developmentally Appropriate Practices, which involve creating adaptable lesson plans to meet each child’s knowledge and needs. I also have a strong interest in math and science and might pursue teaching or specializing in these subjects in the future.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym as it helps me stay focused and work toward my goals. Interestingly, I didn’t always enjoy math and science, but everything changed when I started high school. I had amazing teachers who inspired me to love both subjects, and I hope to have the same positive impact on others one day.
