About Kennedy
Advanced learners and competition students often come to me when they are burned out by standard textbooks. Truthfully, I find that most physics curricula fail to explain why the math actually works in a physical system. My 13 years as a quant in the renewable energy sector involved constant modeling of waves and oscillations that few students see outside of professional research. Having earned a Master of Science in Data Science at UC Berkeley, I translate complex graph interpretation and electrostatics into digestible, logical structures.
I prefer working with students who want to understand the underlying architecture of the physical world rather than just passing a test. Kinematics is essentially the study of how variables interact under strict constraints. A single fact often separates a mediocre student from a top-tier competitor in physics. My 5 years at a FAANG firm as an ML engineer taught me how to distill massive amounts of data into simple, actionable insights.
We focus heavily on derivations because formulas without context are useless during an exam. Optics and mechanics become much easier once you stop memorizing equations and start recognizing patterns in the data. Expect to spend our time working through difficult problems that require multiple layers of conceptual synthesis. My background ensures that you will not just solve the problem, but understand the mechanism behind it.
