About Michael

Hello! My name is Michael Wilson, and I am a dedicated elementary educator with five years of teaching experience in Florida. Throughout my career, I have built a reputation for helping students achieve exceptional academic growth, with my classrooms consistently showing some of the highest improvements in test scores year after year.

My passion for education goes beyond improving grades and test results. I believe every child has the ability to succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and instruction. Parents and families have often recognized me as a teacher who genuinely cares about student success and works to help children grow both academically and personally.

During my teaching career, I have been recognized as one of the top educators in my school district, a distinction that reflects my commitment to student achievement and my dedication to helping every learner reach their full potential.

What sets me apart is my ability to identify learning gaps and areas of struggle before they become long-term obstacles. Rather than simply teaching a lesson and moving on, I carefully analyze where a student may be having difficulty understanding a concept. From there, I create a personalized plan that strengthens foundational skills, builds confidence, and helps students turn weaknesses into strengths.

About the lesson

Every child learns differently, and that’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to tutoring. As a certified elementary educator with five years of classroom experience, I create individualized learning plans designed specifically around your child’s strengths, needs, and learning style.

My students consistently achieve some of the highest testing scores in the county and state, and more importantly, I have demonstrated an 80% improvement rate among students from a wide range of academic backgrounds and circumstances. Whether a student is struggling to master foundational skills, needs help closing learning gaps, or is ready to be challenged at a higher level, I develop a clear path for success.

My approach focuses on building strong foundations first, then scaffolding instruction step-by-step to help students gain confidence and mastery before moving to more advanced concepts. This method not only improves grades and test scores but also helps students become independent, confident learners.

After researching tutoring rates in the area, I found that most tutors charge between $60 and $80 per hour. My rates are competitive and reflect the personalized support I provide to each student. In-person tutoring sessions are priced slightly higher due to travel time and expenses. For online sessions, my rate is reduced significantly—approximately half the cost of in-person tutoring—since there is no travel involved. This allows families to receive the same high-quality instruction and individualized support at a more affordable price.
