About Mahnoor

Hi, I’m Mahnoor Bilal, an A-Level student with a passion for helping others achieve their academic goals. Having recently completed my GCSEs and achieved all 8s and 9s, I understand both the challenges and pressures that students face when preparing for exams.

I decided to become a tutor because I know how frustrating it can be when a topic just doesn’t seem to make sense, no matter how many times it is explained. Throughout my own studies, I realised that sometimes all it takes is someone explaining a concept in a different way for everything to click. I want to be that person for other students.

As a recent GCSE student myself, I am familiar with the current specifications, exam techniques, and revision methods that can make a real difference to a student’s performance. I believe learning should be supportive, encouraging, and tailored to the individual needs of each student.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades in Biology, Chemistry, and History but also to build their confidence and help them develop effective study habits that will benefit them throughout their education.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Mahnoor, an A-Level student who achieved all 8s and 9s at GCSE. I offer GCSE tuition in Biology, Chemistry, and History.

My aim is to make lessons friendly, supportive, and focused on helping students achieve their target grades. Having recently completed my GCSEs myself, I understand the challenges students face and can share the revision techniques and exam strategies that worked for me.

In lessons, I usually start by going over any topics the student is finding difficult and explaining them in a simple and easy-to-understand way. We then work through practice questions and past paper questions together, focusing on exam technique and how to pick up as many marks as possible. I also provide tips on revision, note-making, and time management.

Lessons are usually one hour long, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE students of all abilities, whether they need help building confidence in a subject, catching up on content, or pushing their grades towards the top end of the mark scheme. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and leaving each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived.
