About Larrisa

Graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor's of Science, majored in Biochemistry and obtained a first-class Honours. I am now working as a full-time QC Scientist in a local Biotech company, which specializes in mRNA vaccine manufacturing. Passionate about Science education and strongly believe in 'There are no weak students, only weak pedagogies.'.

Lesson Offers:
1. Year 7-12: Maths, Science, Chemistry & Biology $65/hr
2. Undergrads: Chemistry & Biochemistry (UQ CHEM1100/1221/1200/1090 & BIOC2000/2900) Chemistry: $85/hr | Biochem: $90/hr

Past Tutoring Experience:
-Tutored 10+ high schoolers on Maths and Science
-Helped 8+ undergrads pass their uni exams (and half of them got grade 6 or above!)
-An exam marker, lab demonstrator, and tutor at UQ since 2025 Feb
-Received multiple scholarships & Dean's Commendation during my degree
-Full-time scientist working in a pioneering mRNA vaccine manufacturer

- Preferred in-person lessons in UQ/CBD/South Bank/Sunnybank/Eight Miles Plains/Capalaba
- Minimum lesson duration: 90 mins
- ALWAYS structure lessons beforehand & answer Qs through text FOR FREE
- Excellent at tailoring teaching towards students' goals & abilities
- Utilized various communication strategies & GREAT with introverted students too
- Believes in building advanced thinking but also focuses heavily on exam techniques
