About Ella
First and foremost, I value patience in education. It wouldn’t be possible to teach others, especially those struggling, if I wasn’t able to put myself in their shoes and take the time to understand what they’re stuck with. As an experienced leader, I’ve developed communication skills and have learned to work with students and meet them where they are. I’m captain of my school’s med club, choir, jazz band, theater, and a cappella group, so I work with students from all walks of life! I’m a full IB diploma candidate, and have a special interest in biology and math, but would love to help with whatever a student needs! Overall, I value using my knowledge to make an impact, and to help others be the best versions of themselves. To me, it isn’t about necessarily being the best, but doing your best to better serve others.

Lessons with me would focus on what the student is having trouble connecting with, rather than just reteaching the same concept. I have a special skill for innovation and patience, and if a method of learning doesn’t work for a student, I’ll find another way. Most students that don’t like or understand subjects often just haven’t found what method works best for them. My goal is to individualize sessions and help students to get interested in and passionate about learning, and do that by getting to know the student personally.
