About Amanjot Singh

Professional Experience
I have been a study support tutor under Aston university's Enabling Team since 2019 providing structured study support for students with disabilities including ongoing health conditions and learning differences. and other learning support needs'. I have enabled students with disabilities to access their course through a practical assistance. The lessons depended on the support needs' of the student - it may include support in adapting to the academic demands of HE, providing information, help with time keeping, help with organisational skills etc.

Past Students
Having supported students from various backgrounds and with significant learning differences. They have achieved the outcomes of what they initially set to accomplish by successfully completing their module assignments within a tight deadline through measures of improving their productivity and understanding the differing approach in various pieces of taught content. On many occasions students have required lessons on short notice and I have accommodated to meet their most imminent urgencies to successfully stay on track with their course content.

Practitioner Learner
As a practitioner learner my experiences have involved responsibilities within project management, operations, business services and processes. As a dependable and adaptable professional, I offer a well-rounded ability to overcome any strategic challenges that an individual or organisation may face and explore new opportunities. I have been an integral part of a project management and development firm during my industrial placement and a profitable concessions business securing sales as well as successful long-term contracts. This has involved travelling across the Great Britain ensuring the best outcome for the respective organisations' and clients that are culturally different.

I am highly motivated young professional, specialising in supporting students' identify and overcome their academic challenges in Economics and Business and achieve their strategic goals, developing exam technique strategies.

Encouraging students to ask questions and investigate their own ideas helps improve their problem-solving skills as well as gain a deeper understanding of academic concepts. Both of which are important life skills.

Visualisation -
Bringing theoretical academic concepts to life with visual and practical learning experiences, helping students to understand how their academic theory applies in the real-world.

Differentiation Approach -
Differentiate my teaching by allocating tasks based on the students’ abilities, to ensure no one gets left behind.

Technological Advancement -
Incorporating technology into my teaching to actively engage my students, especially as digital media surrounds young people in the 21st century.

Professional Development Programme -
Engaging in regular professional development programmes to enhance teaching and learning in my lessons.

Cooperative Learning -
Encourage students of mixed abilities to work together by promoting small focused group activities.

My teaching methodology is based on tailoring and adapting myself to the students specific needs' as a facilitator through assessing what they are wanting to achieve their academic goals and in turn I strongly encourage an inquiry-based instruction from the students'.
