About Laura
I am a Russian and History student, with German and English as my mother tongues so can offer help in both areas! I've been privately tutoring middle school and high school students for 2 years - from comprehension and essay writing help to beginner or advanced German lessons. I have also helped students write personal statements for university applications (all of which have been accepted to a university of their liking!) so I can offer help with that as well.

I have tutored IB and GCSE students previously, helping them get a better grasp of the topic and structuring essays for exams - through guided conversation with them, taking them through step by step at their own pace, ensuring they understand what is asked of them and understand how to organise their thoughts and knowledge in an essay. I can provide any amount of information needed on the topic to ensure my students feel prepared for exams. I try my best to take students fear of exams through making them feel comfortable and confident in the variety of topics they have to study and in writing essays. My speciality lies in helping students understand what questions are asking of them, what answers are expected in exams and how to structure these answers.
In terms of German lessons, it really depends on your level - if you want to go over homework given to you in class or content from class or if you need lessons from scratch etc. - but please feel free to message me and we can figure out together how I can help you best!
