About Brenda
I hold a PhD in Ugandan History with a background in International Studies and Political Science. American and African history are my strongest fields, but I have taught courses ranging in subject matter and methodologies. I have taught courses in International Relations and Development and courses on the history of the Cold War. I am a postdoc who would love to help students who are planning or preparing for university to widen their knowledge base and prepare for University!

I have experience teaching both one to one and group lessons. One on one lessons last around one hour and can be catered to the subject matter that you want to learn! My lessons are meant to supplement what you are learning in school, to expand your historical, political, or international studies knowledge. I use both lecture and discussion formats in my lessons and expect students to write essays and participate in the class. I have taught at Oxford, in the History faculty, and for summer courses that run in Oxford over the summer. My lessons are best suited for students aged 15 and older who want to be challenged and experience what university level lessons will be like.
