About Fabio
I'm a curious and driven individual with a strong background in chemistry and scientific research. I have a keen eye for detail and love working on complex problems, whether it's in the lab, analyzing data, or writing technical reports. Over the years, I’ve gained experience both in academia and industry, allowing me to develop a practical and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
I got my Ph.D. in Polymer Physics at the University of Sheffield, where I studied how semiconducting polymers crystallize in thin films and how confinement affects their morphology and crystal structures. I worked with techniques like spectroscopic ellipsometry, small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) to analyze these materials.
Beyond the technical side, I genuinely enjoy collaborating with people from different backgrounds and nationalities. I'm fluent in English and Italian, and I’m currently learning Dutch and French to expand my ability to connect with others.
I'm always up for new challenges and opportunities to grow, whether it's learning new skills, tackling complex projects, or working in a dynamic environment.
Oh, and last but least I am very passionated about nature, the environment and take the climate change battle at heart!

Taught 1:1 during my Bachelor and Master degrees, as well as laboratory demonstrations during the PhD degree.
Typical class length 50 minutes to an hour.
Lessons are mostly for University students or A-levels, with a focus in organic chemistry, polymers and analytical chemistry especially chromatography, mass spectrometry, UV-vis spectroscopy.
