About Charl

My 2 university degrees in drama and theatre arts guided me professionally to become an active theatre arts practitioner in the South African Theatre Arts Industry for the last 8 years and still going strong.

I currently teach acting and theatre making techniques as a part time lecturer at my local university. These experiences opened up doors for me to attend international theatre workshops and have the privilege to work with international theatre practitioners.

Working in theatre arts is a great passion of mine and I firmly believe that drama and theatre arts not only posses the capacity to transform and grow oneself but also the potential to share with others transformational gifts.

My acting craft guides me to deepen my understanding of my mental and emotional aspects as well as stimulates my personal growth.

I love to meet new people and hear about their journey in life.

About the lesson

I am especially interested in exploring and combining various acting and theatre making techniques and how to appropriately apply these combined techniques.

Through my teaching experience I have engaged with numerous students on different levels with a variety of performance needs.
Therefore it is of highest importance to me to know exactly what your acting needs are.

Together we can create realistic goals and milestones and generate creative strategies to achieve the specific acting results you are after.

I am excited to facilitate you on your journey to transform, grow and nurture your acting craft.

I am open to adjust my teaching approaches to suite your specific needs.
