About Graham
I find joy in helping people truly understand math concepts—not just how to get an answer, but what the answer means and why the method works. It is important to understand why the math is working beyond just how to do it, as this is crucial for building on your knowledge when you eventually progress through more advanced math classes. I tutor any math class up through Calc II, as well as SAT and ACT prep. I am more than happy to tutor elementary, middle, or high-school-level math. Not only do I have experience tutoring children, but I also have plenty of experience working with children in general (camp counseling, after-school programs, etc).

I believe in learning through experience, as this is how I learn best. I like to show my students how to solve a problem, then allow them to try a similar problem on their own. I will be there to guide them as needed. I find that this method inspires confidence compared to simply telling students how to solve problems: when you work through a question with the pencil in your own hand, it reveals gaps in understanding that can then be improved upon. I am happy to help with problems you are stuck on or find/create problems for a topic you would like more practice with.
