About Justin

Is your child struggling with history or essays? I can help. Hi, I'm Justin G., a tutor based out of Los Angeles, California. I graduated with honors in both of my degrees, including an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, Science and Mathematics, and I'm a member of multiple honor societies. I started teaching as a college aide for Long Beach Unified School District in 2021, and since then I've worked as a private tutor, recreational aide, youth development professional, and Project Specialist at Coastline College in Newport Beach. I teach English, math, physics, and history — anything up to high school level. I'm currently tutoring a high school student in Algebra 2, so I know exactly where students get stuck and how to get them unstuck. With 6+ years of teaching experience, I happily teach little kids too — we keep things patient, fun, and encouraging.

About the lesson

History is full of great stories — I help you remember them and understand why they matter. With 6+ years of teaching experience, I work with students from elementary through high school on everything from early civilizations to modern history. My lessons are patient and conversational: we connect events to the bigger picture, use timelines and examples that stick, and go at your pace. I'm happy to help with homework, essays, and test prep. I also love teaching little kids — we keep things fun and story-driven so history feels like an adventure, not a chore.
