About Azriel
I am a sophomore at the David C. Frederick Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Computational Biology; I am also obtaining a minor in Sociology, and a Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies certificate. GPA: 3.8
I have worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for one semester for Foundations of Biology, and was a Python/Java Instructor at iDTech Camps for one summer. I have been praised by all my bosses as an excellent teacher, and that I have an innate ability to understand how to best support students struggling with material.

I have experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Foundations of Biology, and a Python/Java Instructor at iDTech camps. I utilize a multi-modal approach to education, and make sure I convey information best-suited to how my students learn.
I begin by assessing a student's abilities, and then making sure to meet them where they're at. I have many Biology visuals and diagrams at my disposal, and have saved all of my previous CS projects to use as examples for students. I believe in learning by doing, and make sure my students spend their time applying their knowledge instead of just hard-memorizing information. Application results in retention, and I want to make sure they know why they're learning what they need to learn.
